The Recurring Test
Does money show up whether you posted this week or not. If the answer is no, you do not have a business. You have a shift, and the clock starts over every Monday.
Build & Own
Income requires your presence. Capital does not. I write about the difference, and I build the kinds of assets the second kind describes.
The Thesis
Most of what the internet calls a creator business is not a business. According to Net Influencer, 71% of full time creators earn under $30,000 a year. It is a job that rents its customers from a platform, and it stops paying the moment the camera turns off. Call this Tier 3, the platform tier, where the money and the reach both belong to someone else.
One rung up is the knowledge tier, Tier 2, where a creator sells a course, a cohort, or a community. The ceiling is higher and the margins are better. The economics still depend on the creator continuing to show up, so the income still slows the moment attention does.
The top tier is capital. Software, directories, tools, the kinds of assets that run when nobody is watching. The margin is the point. AI collapsed the cost of building these assets. According to GitHub's 2024 developer survey, 92% of US developers now use AI coding tools daily, which means the bottleneck is no longer access to engineering but the clarity to know what to build. That is what this site documents.
Three Investor Tests
Does money show up whether you posted this week or not. If the answer is no, you do not have a business. You have a shift, and the clock starts over every Monday.
If you disappeared for a month, does the operation survive. Real businesses have systems, customers with problems, and software that keeps running. A brand that collapses in your absence is a performance, not a company.
If the platform deleted your account tonight, can you still reach your audience tomorrow. The answer is either a list you own, a product people log in to, or silence. Most creators find out the answer on the worst day of their year.
The Work
Shipped
Executive function, rebuilt. An Expo and Supabase app that handles the part of planning my brain refuses to do, so the work can start without the negotiation.
Shipped
Input a brand. Get back the positioning gap nobody on their team is paid to name. A second opinion from a system that has no political reason to lie.
The Service
If you are a creator with an audience and no product, that is a fixable problem.
Most creators sitting on Tier 3 income are one conversation away from knowing exactly what their Tier 1 asset looks like. I run a 90-minute Creator Asset Audit for $500. We identify the product hiding in your community, map the audience signal that proves demand, and deliver a written brief you can hand to a builder or use to build it yourself.
I close it. You own it.
